January 2023: Core Value Most Valuable Players!

Each month, our team members have the opportunity to nominate each other for the month’s Most VALUEable Player. January’s core value highlight was respect, which means we treat people, property, and processes with utmost consideration. We are proud to share the nominees who gave respect during January!

Matt McMahon: Head Coach, Men’s Basketball. I picked this story up secondhand, but it really stuck with me. One day, a women's basketball player was shooting in the PMAC after practice. The men were scheduled to practice after. Coach McMahon walked in, and the player started to leave the floor. Coach told her to keep shooting and that he would move practice into the practice facility because they were doing a walk-through. The respect he showed that player and program defined 'utmost consideration' for me. (nominated by Cody Worsham)

Loree Ramezan: Director of Business Operations. From day one Loree joined our department, she has had the best mindset and always stays in a positive mood. As a leader, she is always willing to help and allows us to improve our work. (nominated by Leah Wintz)

Ben Ross: Vice President – Development. Ben Ross is the utmost professional to work with. He has welcomed new TAF staff and ideas with open arms and has embraced new leadership with the highest level of respect. With over 17 years at TAF, Ben is our go-to for respecting tradition while also implementing changes to achieve even higher fundraising goals. He is very kind to everyone, including donors and colleagues. Ben's display of respect generates goodwill, inspires others, and increases motivation on our team. Thank you, Ben! (nominated by Jamie Hall)
