December 2022: Core Value Most Valuable Players!
Each month, our team members have the opportunity to nominate each other for the month’s Most VALUEable Player. December’s core value highlight was perseverance, which means we maintain forward progress regardless of circumstances. We are proud to share the nominees who personified perseverance during December!
Brandon Berrio, Director of Football Social Media and Branding: Brandon has taken on a new role this year, and he has embraced every challenge that has come with it. His work has often taken him well outside the parameters of his job description, but he puts his head down, gets to work, and finishes the job. He's been instrumental to integrating Coach Kelly's brand with LSU Football's in year one, he's fostered increased collaboration between the football program and our creatives, and he's positioned our student-athletes to maximize their personal brands. (nominated by Cody Worsham)
Mallory McGuffey Duke, Director of Premium Seating: Mallory was TAF's MVP for Garth! She led her team and worked tirelessly through obstacles and challenges with a positive attitude and determination to make sure all of our suite holders had a great experience. In addition to persevering through the event preparation itself, she also led the hiring efforts and staff orientation in our premium seating spaces. Due to Mallory's organization and preparedness, our donors have lifelong memories. She did all of this on top of her wedding the same month! (nominated by Jamie Hall)
Jason Feirman, Executive Director of Creative Design: No matter what issue or question I have, Jason has an answer. His passion for LSU's brand and knowledge of the culture has been crucial for me to grow as a designer in the short amount of time I've been here. Almost everyone in South Stadium has looked for his guidance and his fingerprint is on a lot of the content that we disseminate. (nominated by Tyler Schiefelbein)
Ya’el Lofton, Executive Assistant to the Head Football Coach: Ya'el has been a part of our football program through numerous head coaches and her institutional knowledge was a huge help for us while navigating the change in staff last year. This month, she has achieved a major milestone: graduation! Going to school while working full time requires significant perseverance and I am so proud of Ya'el for this accomplishment! (nominated by Andrea Tepe)
