April 2023: Core Value Most Valuable Players!

Each month, our team members have the opportunity to nominate each other for the month’s Most VALUEable Player. April’s core value highlight was service, which means we embrace a purpose beyond ourselves. We are proud to share the nominees who practiced service during April!

Doug Aucoin: Director of Video – Football. When I think of service, I think of Doug. Doug has been with the LSU Football program for over 25 years and has made an impact on many lives throughout the years. His impact goes beyond the call of duty and leaves a lasting impression. He has dedicated his life to the student-athlete experience and makes everyone else's lives a little bit easier each day. Whether that be refilling the coffee machine or fixing your phone, he is always willing to go above and beyond to serve his neighbor. ~ nominated by Kaylen Thornton

Berry Holt: Director of Premium Seating. As a positive representative of LSU Athletics and TAF, Berry goes above and beyond job responsibilities to serve by creating meaningful experiences. She has worked with countless contacts on various events in our premium spaces, including YWCA/Jane Fonda and Stadium Golf Tour. Berry builds relationships by making connections, increases trust by following through, and improves morale by the way she interacts with others. Day-to-day, Berry embraces the larger purpose and goals of LSU Athletics. ~nominated by Jamie Hall

Mary Jane Merrill: Travel Manager. Mary Jane spends all day, every day serving others - our teams, coaches, recruits, administrators, officials - you name it, she is there to help! She has seen it all and will make sure that you have thought of every little detail that will help a trip run smoothly. Her willingness to help everyone and her passion for all of our sports is the ultimate example of service to our greater cause as a department. ~nominated by Andrea Tepe

Terri Poleman: Travel Advisor. Terri and I worked together on more trips than I can count when I worked in operations. No matter how many tasks are on her plate, Terri always has a smile and wants to help. Whether it was making arrangements for a travel party of 70+ or coordinating international trips for recruiting or national team qualifying, her problem solving and service oriented attitude put me at ease. ~nominated by Andrea Tepe

Matthew Savoy: Director of Premium Seating. Matthew embodies service each day as he spends hours at Alex Box being intentional in his work. He makes decisions for the benefit of others, creates meaningful experiences for our fans, and builds relationships with donors on a daily basis. ~nominated by Mallory Duke
