A Campus Resource for Recovery

To attend to the needs of students struggling with substance use, LSU has launched the Collegiate Recovery Program. The Program currently meets on Wednesdays at 7PM in Coates Hall Room 212. They also have a designated safe space for recovering students in the small conference room in the Women’s Center from 12:30 to 2PM on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, and Friday’s. All who are curious about addictive disorders are welcome to attend. These include issues with alcohol, opiates, video games, food, gambling, or any other behavior that is causing problems.

The inaugural Program Manager, Adam Singer, comes to LSU after seven years working with recovering individuals within the Baton Rouge community. Adam will support LSU students in many ways, connecting them to the resources they need to be successful in their recovery and as they pursue a degree from LSU. Adam can be contacted at asinge6@lsu.edu.

For support and guidance throughout your college career as an LSU student-athlete, reach out to your resources. It’s often the hardest step, but the most rewarding.
