March 2023: Core Value Most Valuable Players!

Each month, our team members have the opportunity to nominate each other for the month’s Most VALUEable Player. March’s core value highlight was growth, which means we strive to be better today than yesterday. We are proud to share the nominees who fostered growth during March!

• Matt Borman, CEO/President of Tiger Athletic Foundation, Under Matt's leadership, Tiger Athletic Foundation has achieved record-breaking success over the past 18 months. His commitment to growth of our people and fundraising processes allows TAF to raise more funds than ever for student-athlete scholarships, team operations, and facilities. Matt looks at challenges as opportunities and capitalizes on these to meet and exceed goals. Matt's goal-oriented leadership is contagious and lifts everyone up to higher standards. He makes us better every day! (nominated by Jamie Hall)

• Kevin Cassidy, Director of Digital Marketing, Kevin is always willing to contribute to projects in a positive way, and he is always offering new ideas to improve what we're doing. It's been great to watch him grow into new roles and to take on new challenges, but he also helps others ground him grow with his contributions. (nominated by Cody Worsham)

• Taylor Jacobs, Associate AD/NIL & Strategic Initiatives, I think Taylor is a great example of growth. Taylor does an incredible job of keeping up with the ever changing landscape of NIL and continues to provide the necessary education and resources for our LSU student-athletes. Taylor also continues to be a positive role-model for other women growing their careers in college athletics! I have no doubt that Taylor has and will continue to make LSU Athletics a better place. (nominated by Reagan Schaefer)

• Jaden Rogers, Athletics Operations Manager, Jaden has been a positive influence on the Athletics department since he has arrived. He has helped me personally with goals and issues within the department that go, at least with what I believe, to be above and beyond the call of duty. He is down to earth and sociable. He is what a supervisor should be. (nominated by Anthony Corteau)

• Sheldon Rogers, Horticultural Attendant Lead, During Sheldon's career at LSU, he jumped from an HA to HA Lead. He started out as a Field Crew Member at Alex Box and is now the Field Manager at Tiger Park. Sheldon embraced his role as a crew member and soaked up all the knowledge he could from previous supervisors. He learned from their successes and mistakes and has used this knowledge to take charge of his own field. Sheldon delivers a supreme product day in and day out and has one of the best playing surfaces in the nation! (nominated by Jon Pfeifer)
