How Sweet is Your Love?

June is Pride Month and LSU Athletics will host Sweet Liberation, a bake sale fundraiser to support the LGBTQ+ community. Why Sweet Liberation? Liberation is the act of setting someone free with the hope of acquiring equal rights and status for a particular group. Baked goods are sweet and make most of us smile, so we combined the two to bring you some of your favorite desserts prepared by your friends and colleagues to support a good cause. The Bake Sale will take place over a 2-day period giving more people an opportunity to experience the baking skills of our athletics community. Please visit us in the Lawton Room to drop off or to purchase a treat on Monday, June 20th and Tuesday, June 21st from 11:00 – 2:00 pm.

And since we all enjoy some good, friendly competition, secret judges will taste each baked good and determine who made the best sweet treat. There will also be a People’s Choice winner for the dessert that receives the most votes by their peers. The winners will be announced on Friday, June 24th!

The Bake Sale will benefit Baton Rouge Pride. Baton Rouge Pride is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources, education, cultural events, and other community-building activities for the South Louisiana LGBTQ+ community and its friends, families and allies.
